New blog

So I was using Wordpress for this blog. But unfortunately it stopped working. But also it was a bit of overkill since it uses a very heavy database driven website to serve only an few files. I have now switched over to a new system which generates static pages and uploads those.

So I am now trying to use pelican to do the blogging. We write in a simple markdown language and then it gets transformed to basic html files which can then be uploaded and shown to the world.

I have exported the data from the Wordpress database and am in the process of adding the old posts to this website.
